Axis completes project for Crystal Palace Museum

cpm
Axis recently completed project for Grade 1 listed building, Crystal Palace Museum.

Axis Painting Division has completed a key project, external repairs and redecoration to Crystal Palace Museum for Bromley Council; it was part of a contract to refurbish parks within Bromley Council.

The Museum originally built in 1851 a Grade 1 listed building, houses photographs, artefacts, ceramics and original documents which tells the story of the Hyde Park and Sydenham and Crystal Palaces in South London. The building had not been touched in over thirty years.

The works involved:
• Pre-Decoration repairs to timber windows
• External painting
• Repairs to metal railing

Museum Director and Trustee, Ken Kiss says ‘as Director of the museum I am responsible to the Trustees for the quality of works carried out by contractors. Although we are the recipients and not the clients I would like to go on record as saying the diligence of Axis’ workforce and the attention to detail provided by supervisor Clive to whom nothing was too much trouble and the operatives who worked well under his control.’

Axis Painting Director, Joe Ibrahim adds ‘this is excellent feedback on our work, in particularly Clive Brighton our Apprentice master who carried out the project with our Apprentice team. The experience our Apprentices have received on this Grade 1 listed property is invaluable.’
