Overall Purpose

The purpose of the role is to manage and lead on all contracts financial and commercial matters.

Key Tasks / Activities/ Responsibilities

  • Monitor and proactively reduce costs incurred in the execution of the PPP contract
  • Review and submit all Applications For Payment
  • Cleanse all incorrect SOR data
  • Review all Void Specifications and advise on correct SOR Code usage
  • Review and finalise all jobs completed and ready for invoicing
  • Lead on SOR Code training for all staff members
  • Lead on Price Per Property contract training for all staff members
  • Monitor the Overdue Report daily and work to reduce the number of overdue jobs
  • Continual review and approval of all contra charges and cost transfers
  • Continual monitoring of material spend and plant hire
  • Manage the commercial team responsible for processing all completion data, payment queries, overdue job monitoring, variations, out of hours and ticket review
  • Extract the best value for money from Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Review variations submitted by Subcontractors to Axis for further works ensuring where necessary variations are approved by the client
  • Monitor the administration systems to ensure all chargeable works are identified
  • Review and interrogate all payments due to be made to Subcontractors
  • Maximize the potential of the Schedule of Rate codes across all work streams to ensure that Subcontractors are paid the correct amounts and the client is billed accurately
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in all areas of the Repairs and Maintenance business
  • Strict adherence and implementation of the Group Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, HR policies and procedures and any other statutory regulations
  • Ensure all clients’ expectations are achieved
  • Embrace Axis values and ethos and demonstrate these daily
  • Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives and work instructions related to sustainability improvement and environmental compliance
  • Manage and enter data on data bases to reflect hard docs and process
  • File all documents and ensure internal processes are adhered too.
  • Raise PO’s
  • Review of completed work orders
  • Match supplier invoices to PO’s
  • Submission of quotations or estimates to Client
  • Process subcontract applications and payment recommendations
  • Approval of variations to subcontractors
  • Obtain approval of variations from the Client
  • Valuation of work orders for application to the Client
  • Working closely with existing commercial administrators on a day to day issues

The role is based in Oldbury but will include travelling to sites in Warwick and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
