Axis Attends Croydon Council Awards

Posted on

Axis attended the 2015 Croydon Council Awards, hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Croydon, with Tim Hayes (Managing Director of Maintenance) presenting Manager of the Year and the Proud to Serve award. Rodney Kay, Senior Contracts Manager, and Ian Rhodes, Divisional Manager, were also in attendance.

Axis deals with the maintenance of homes owned by Croydon Council and we have a responsibility to keep them safe and comfortable for the residents. We were awarded a seven-year contract to provide responsive repairs, maintenance, void reinstatement and gas servicing in April 2014.

We service over 16,000 properties in Croydon and now manage Croydon’s repairs contact centre. The service is expected to complete over 70,000 repairs per year, generating annual savings of £2million which the council can reinvest into its housing stock.

We are also committed to giving back to the community beyond our social housing work by recruiting apprentices from the areas in which we work and we will recruit from Croydon for our apprenticeship scheme and work placements as well as providing volunteers for their community causes.

The Proud to Serve award went to the Adoption Team and Dawn Sherlock (pictured) received the Manager of the Year Award.
