Axis Support National Apprenticeship Week 2018

Posted on

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week representatives from all areas of Axis attended three careers events in Twickenham and Croydon.

National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity for employers and apprentices from across England to come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships, whilst encouraging even more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career.

Each year we take on a number of work placement and apprenticeship candidates as part of our Work Inspiration programme, so attending such events is the perfect opportunity for us to meet potential candidates.

Ian Rhodes, Divisional Manager and Taylor Harrison, Apprentice Electrician represented Axis at the Coulsdon College Careers Event. Taylor commented, “It was an eye-opening experience speaking to the young people about my role as an apprentice, also realising what an amazing opportunity I have been given here at Axis! It was nice to enlighten others of the opportunities that Axis provides”.

Joseph Harrison, Apprentice Electrician volunteered at the World of Work Roadshow held at The Stoop in Twickenham and added, “It was great to have the chance to talk to young people about their future and nice to see that quite few of them are already planning apprenticeships in the construction industry”.
