Axis Wins New Contract with Red Kite Community Housing

Posted on

Axis secured a place on the Red Kite Community Housing framework to conduct Planned Maintenance work across 6,700 properties in the Wycombe district. The framework was split into five lots to deliver works to the client’s social housing properties.
Axis was awarded a place on the following Lots, alongside 4 other contractors who also gained a place on the Framework.

Lot 1 – Structural repairs, general building work, kitchen and bathroom replacements and electrical works
Value of Lot 1: £4.5m p/a split out between 3-4 contractors

Lot 2 – Window and door renewals
Value of Lot 2: £700k p/a split out between 3-4 contractors

Axis was awarded the 2 lots based on our written and priced tender submission; for both Lots 1 and 2. Scores were based on our tendered price, as well as questions surrounding Mobilisation, Resident Communication, Sustainability, H&S, Quality Control and Social Value.
This is a four year contract which commenced in July 2017.

Axis has successfully worked with Red Kite previously, delivering a responsive 24/7 property repairs and maintenance service and voids, keeping resident homes safe and comfortable, and maintaining  property to a let-able standard. The £3 million contract – which covered 6,000 homes in the High Wycombe area – has been extended by a year.

“Here at Red Kite we were exceptionally pleased with the mobilisation of the Axis Repairs and Empty Homes contract; the success was partly due to the excellent communication that took place between us and Axis, with active participation from both sides, and a project team, led in the main by Red Kite but supported well by Axis.”
Darren George, Head of Property, Red Kite Housing 2017
