Barton Close Residents Receive Park Bench Donation

Posted on

Axis has donated a park bench made completely of recycled Crown Paint plastic containers for the L&Q residents of Barton Close. The bench was our gift to the Barton Close community in Woking and continues our commitment to working sustainable and to giving back to the community.

The bench was made from 3,300 Crown Paint plastic containers used in the 14/15 cyclical decorating programme between Axis and L&Q and is to be used by residents.

The unveiling took place on July 17th, attended by L&Q’s Carolle Downer, Liam Dromey, Ryan Gardner, Crown Paints David Thomason, and Axis’ Mick Moran and Adam Whitbread.

L&Q’s Planned Project Manager, Carolle Downer, said: “The new bench will provide a meeting place for the residents to enjoy the great outdoors.”

“This is the second bench that has been donated to L&Q residents after Wandle Valley and I’m sure it will be as widely used.”
