New Contract with Hackney Homes

Axis has won a civil works contract to undertake planned and responsive maintenance of pavements, roads and playground equipment for Hackney Homes, in partnership with Hackney Council. The contract will run for 5 years, with the potential of extending to 9 years, have a value of £2 million and Koys Miah will be the Contract Manager.

The contract area of Hackney stretches from Liverpool Street in the south to Stamford Hill in the north and from the River Lea in the east to Finsbury Park in the west. It has a residential population of 246,300 comprising in the areas of Hackney, Shoreditch and Stoke Newington.

Our focus will be on the communal areas of the borough’s estates and blocks, which will support Hackney Home’s own in-house building maintenance service delivering improvement across their 31,500 dwellings. The scope of works will range from footpath repairs and drainage solutions to the supply, installation and maintenance of park equipment.

Carriageway maintenance, including kerb repair or replacement, road markings and installation of specialist anti-skid surfaces is another example of the work. Winter Maintenance is also included.

In delivering the works, Axis will open its local employment and apprentice programme to residents within the borough, helping improve more than just homes.

External Redecoration and Repairs to a residential block on Sloane Street

Axis’ Heritage team were commissioned by Cadagon on behalf of managing agent Smith Waters, to deliver redecoration and repairs works to 91 Sloane Street.
