Axis has been awarded a four year £8.2million contract with Stevenage Borough Council.

The contract with Stevenage Council will see Axis provide Decent Homes improvement, incorporating aids and adaptations and professional services. The scope of works relates to the design and installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, central heating and electrical systems, as well as some minor external works.

The contract is due to start in January 2017 and includes a range of property types from the Council’s circa 8,000 stock. This includes traditional and non-traditionally constructed terrace properties and low and medium-rise blocks of flats.

As with all Decent Homes work, the aim will be to ensure that the standard of living conditions are raised for residents. This partnership will see Axis working closely with the Council’s welfare officers to identify the needs of vulnerable occupants and providing aids and adaption that suit. The works will also cover the painting and decorating of the interiors.

Axis will also manage professional services functions including assessment of homes affected by condensation and damp, which after client approval will receive the appropriate rectification works.

Stevenage Borough Council required a contractor that would be able to deliver high quality and reliable service to their residents to guarantee customer satisfaction. Axis’ history illustrates a commitment to honest and open relationships which complement the high levels of customer service.
