Spreading Christmas Cheer

Posted on

To help spread Christmas cheer to those less fortunate, a number of employees and subcontractors donated gifts to a variety of organisations close to our offices.

Both Sittingbourne and Tower Hamlets Homes donated a selection of toys to children at Demelza Children’s Hospice in Eltham and Sittingbourne, whilst Kingston donated gifts to the children’s unit at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Karon Bratton, Assistant Contracts Manager commented, “As we were delivering the gifts to The Royal Marsden a lady in the carpark remarked that Father Christmas is real! A couple of very young patients were so excited when the gifts were brought in; it makes the whole experience worthwhile”.

While some offices focused on children, others supported the elderly and the homeless including the Swan Team at Stratford who donated a collection of gifts for residents of Oakroyd House in Dunmow, and our Oldbury office who created 14 festive packages to donate to St Basils Homeless Shelter in Birmingham.

Anne Moreton from St Basils Fundraising Team passed on her gratitude and said, “Thank you for your wonderful support. It means the world to our young people to know that someone out there is thinking of them”.
