The work started by stripping out existing facilities, which included deconstructing cubicles and taking down walls, both as part of the remodelling and to expose plumbing that needed maintenance. Ceilings were removed to access electrics that required upgrading. Works were phased across the floors and scheduled out-of-hours so the noisier deconstruction and removal of waste could take place without disrupting the numerous financial organisations that remained occupied in the 9,000sqm office building.
With the preparation and repair works complete, rebuilding the facilities began with installing new flooring, ceiling and lighting, followed by building new partition walls, cubicles and vanity units that were plumbed with modern sanitary-ware. Painting and decorating completed the high-end finish.
