Royal Herbert Pavilions, External Redecoration and Repairs

Royal Herbert Pavilions, a Grade II listed Victorian building, was originally The Herbert Hospital for veterans of the Crimean War.

Situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and now a luxury residential complex, Royal Herbert Pavilions comprises 228 flats and apartments.

Axis was commissioned by Royal Herbert FH Ltd for an External Redecorations and Repairs programme at this Grade II listed, landmark conversion.

Our scope of works here comprised: roof cleaning and repairs including to slate and asphalt flat roofs; repairing and painting rainwater goods; and repairing, easing and adjusting all timber and metal casement windows and external doors.

Additional external works included repairing, cleaning and painting masonry and brickwork. All slates and bricks were carefully matched to the originals.

We took great care to protect the lawns and gardens (the original hospital grounds) during the works as they too are listed .
